The Calm


Like the lone bird I feel...


In search of the calm.


Hidden away in solitude.


Looking out and searching...


For my ship to come in.


But I stroll the shores
Admiring the treasures.


Enjoying the calm.

Knowing that I am not anchored anymore.
I shall build my own ship.

    Lovely post, Cricket. You have a beautiful way with words. And your photos take me right to that longed-for place of peace and calmness. I have a favorite book I read every day and I read recently of the authors longing to find "peace that nothing can offend." That really stuck with me. That's what I'm searching for.
