The pure simplicity.
Makes you wonder what thoughts were in there heads...
Was there a smile on their face...

Now us 70's and 80's chicks remember these being passed
secretively in class huh?
And I bet you still have them!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
Write a letter

I feel like I am on a wonderful beach vacation when I stop by! The music is so great. xo
ReplyDeleteI just love the mailbox! I wonder what the postman (or lady) would do if I decorated mine like this? Happy Valentines Day and Happy Pink Saturday. ~Marti
ReplyDeleteOh, that was fun, what a lovely post!! Love letters...sigh...Thanks for sharing. Happy Valentine Pink Saturday!! ~Lorraine ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteHaha! I remember passing those notes!
ReplyDeleteI love your post! I do remember those little notes being passed in school...LOL! I did keep all my love letters from my first boyfriend. I can't seem to bring myself to let them go, he was my first love after all. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for your kind words about my digital images. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, LisaKay (Belles Roses)
You have accumulated a wonderful collection of love letters!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous share. The old Valentines and letters from years gone by,
aren't they just the best? They were so much more romantic then.
Everything was so much more elegant than ones of today.
Your share of the photos I simply love. Especially the letters hanging to
dry (or so they appear. Cute display and I love the ones in the box.
That is so simply elegant.
I often wonder what happened to those velvety ones we used to could buy.
You would rub your hand across the card and it was so lovely. I loved
that little touch of romance. For what we pay for the cards today and
to mail them, you would think that we would get some of the years gone by.
Oh Sweetie, if you are going to be in the valley helping out your precious
Momma, please email me and get my phone number. I would love to meet up
with both of you for a lunch one day. Where in the valley does she live?
I live in Northwest Phoenix.
Many hugs sweet friend and so much love, Sherry
Ohhh, how fun! I'm afraid in this age of technology the art of letter writing will go away! Visiting from Pink Saturday...
ReplyDeleteLove what you made with these love letters, so inspiring! So glad I saw you at Beverly's Pink Saturday. ~Diane (I am #16)
ReplyDeleteI love letters! I have a box filled with all of the letters and cards I have received over the years. I read them when I need a lift :) Happy early Valentines Day!

Hi Cricket,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! I really like what you did with the letters. I still have my autograph book from high school; no notes though. Love your music in the background too! Happy Valentines Pink Saturday weekend.
