Sand and Sea Sundays

Welcome my sea loving gypsea's

to another Sand and Sea Sunday!

And I know you all must have fabulous posts, photos and perhaps treasures to share this week!

One of the most POPULAR times of the year that families and friends head to the beach!

Today I took the little Pirate and Mermaid into Cape May to a little favorite spot,

Where if you are lucky enough you can find yourself the notorious 

"Cape May Diamond."

(that is sure to be a post one day!)

SUNSET BEACH, Cape May, NJ

And for me..it is my most relaxing place where I can gather in major abundance the 

pinkest of pink and whiter than snow pebbles I love to collect!

Around the small area..are a few little shops...and a place where they sell/collect

all your nautical, coastal funky, weathered, tattered vintage sea finds!

Oh..it is candy heaven for me!

I'll give you a gander of the back of the little "shop shack"

Oh yes! I can see the little Pirates new room in Florida already having these swaying all over!

The colors and chippiness just thrill me!

Gorgeous huh?

These are straight from Nova Scotia

(yes.. I have a few!)

And then the different shells and such!

Oh MY!

There collection of rocks...

A few of these I grabbed..since I was in NJ, not Mexico...

Some wild wood we found on the shore..

My stomping ground for pebbles..

And now... one of the reasons it is called SUNSET BEACH.

Divine isn't it?

( And yes..that old shipwreck is another post!!!)

Save the Date...Sand and Sea Sundays

Well as you all have gathered by now... especially if you have joined me on FB....

I am a beach lovin, shell picking, sun goddess, surfer chick with sand between her toes 

wanna be mermaid!

And.....

You have also come to see that I will be making a drastic change in my life

as I move from the Northeast down to beachside in Florida.

So many of you, Maya, Sally, Michelle, Sunshinebelle, Seaside, I love Shelling

have all inspired me week by week with your outstanding posts,

the decor you showcase...

(I will admit... my brain is going into the poor house as I salivate over

everything I want!)

So I figured...even though it is not 

"BEACH WEATHER"

here up north quite yet...

It is in Florida.

So starting the first week in May,

On Sundays...

I would love for you to join me on a

Wind and Sea Sunday

Today was not... a good day for combing...

the sand was literally whipping across the shores..

burying not only shells and wood, but us too...

So we headed south to hit another favorite stomping ground...

This is where I will collect all my pure white or pink pebbles..

and if lucky...extremely tumbled sea glass...

But the wind was still kickin here too!

We could barely stay for more than a half an hour...

But what would be a day without finding another

mystery mermaids belongings.

Blue Monday~Glitter Blue

Hello all my fellow Blue Monday Mermaids~

I think my head has been beneath the waves too long...

or perhaps underneath too much glitter!

I have been trying to get the "GYPSEA" tree done..

So away I have been glittering away shells...

and I still have tons more to do!!!

this is just the beginning!

I also added in one of my kids homemade ornaments of sand and shells and

sea glass..

Pink Saturday

Happy PINK SATURDAY Gypsea friends....
Was spending some R &R beachside this past week... and I came across a favorite place of mine..which instead of shells..the shoreline is loaded up with pebbles...and if you look closely..you will find tumbled..tumbled..tumbled..sea glass... a little north at the point...on a lucky day...I find what you see in picture #2....
